Sherriff Amenity is delighted to announce that David Bentley, Head Groundsman at Darlington Cricket Club, has been chosen as the winner of their Bowdry competition, held at BTME in January.

Bowdry is a revolutionary ground drying machine, designed specifically to remove standing water from any surface. Manufactured by Bowcom, the Bowdry offers a light, strong, cost effective solution that ensures sport can continue when under normal conditions, standing water would prevent play.

Each Bowdry machine incorporates a durable foam roller that efficiently absorbs water. An integrated storage tank collects the excess water. Once full the tank can easily be emptied from the valve located on the side panel. The Bowdry machine incorporates a four wheel chassis that evenly distributes the weight, ensuring effective water removal is achieved on even the finest turf.

Sherriff Amenity’s marketing manager, Kevin Whitby said: “We are delighted that David has won the competition which will help clear surface water from the pitch at Darlington. The Bowdry offers a water removal solution to sports clubs that ensure fixtures can be fulfilled. It’s been a very popular product this winter.”
