Sports Turf Services (STS), one of Scotland’s leading sports and amenity turf maintenance contractors, has seen a marked improvement in the sports facilities that the company looks after since exclusively using a range of Sherriff Amenity products.
Founded in the 1970’s before current Managing Director Peter Campbell purchased the company six years ago, STS have a range of customers covering football, rugby, bowls, cricket and golf clubs.
A team of five greenkeepers plus one turf advisor, all under the direction of Peter, carry out the maintenance projects, so keeping such a large number of sporting facilities in top condition is a testing job. Peter relies on the services of Sherriff Amenity for materials and equipment and the advice of its amenity specialist Kenny Archibald. said Peter.
”A variety of products from the extensive Sherriff Amenity range and a month-by-month planner with application rates set out the programme to follow for each of the sites. This was extremely easy to follow and made the job very straightforward for staff, according to Peter.
"We only purchase the products and quantities required to undertake the specific programme set out by Kenny, and this means we are more accurate and less wasteful. Because of this, there have also been some cost savings.”
