The Amenity Forum Conference and Exhibition will be held on October 16th at Leicester City Football Club. The conference is a must-attend event for anyone with an involvement or interest in pest, weed and disease control in the amenity sector. It attracts delegates from all areas of our sector.
This year’s conference is entitled ‘Staying in Control’. Professor John Moverley, Independent Chairman of the Amenity Forum says: “The impact of legislation, in particular the recent Sustainable Use Directive and the Water Framework Directive, is extremely significant in producing new emphasis on training, certification and assurance and on adopting integrated approaches
These new pressures add to an increasing need to deliver more and better at lower cost. “Amenity is in the spotlight. It is important that the sector itself shows it can rise to the challenge and get fully behind best practice. We need to do this ourselves or it will be imposed on us by others - hence our conference theme of staying in control.”
