Added Treatment Makes Most of Natural Nutrients

18/08/2014

The pressure on greenkeepers and groundsmen to produce surfaces that are playable the whole year round gets greater and greater each year. Leading supplier Sherriff Amenity, in collaboration with DLF Trifolium, has developed the Techni Turf (TT) range of seed mixes with renovation and over-seeding very much in mind for golf courses, winter and summer sports pitches, as well as for new surface establishment.

What makes these mixes so effective is that they are all treated with an exclusive blend of bio-stimulants called GroMax which helps young grass seedlings make the most of all the natural nutrients in the soil.

For greenkeepers that are planning to overseed this autumn and looking to achieve a fine, dense putting sward that lasts even in the depths of winter there is the TT19 Greens Renovation browntop bent mix. It will tolerate mowing down to 4mm and it comes in either 10 or 20 kilo bags. For those in charge of courses where fescue greens are favoured, often links, there is TT111 Greens All Fescue mix for spring re-seeding. This comes in just 20 kilo bags and twin virtues are drought tolerance and excellent year round colour.

Ideal for spring renovation of football and rugby pitches after a season’s wear and tear is TT6 Sportsground, a 75% perennial ryegrass mix.

Aimed at cricket groundsmen looking to re-establish their squares once the season is over is TT23, a rapid establishment and very hard wearing 100% ryegrass mix. The STRI rank it very highly for close mowing tolerance. This comes in either 10 or 20 kilo bags, catering for any number of pitches or size of club.

These and other mixtures in the TT range feature class-leading cultivars and are available for next day delivery.
