SmartSpread™ technology
SmartSpread™ is an advanced system that ensures even and precise distribution of granular fertilisers, which helps achieve consistent and uniform application every time.
SmartSpread™ is located under the hopper, and directs granules on the impeller based on their size and weight. Larger or heavier granules, such as ProTurf or Sierrablen Plus, are directed towards the centre of the impeller to gain the necessary centrifugal force for effective spreading. Applications of smaller and lighter granules, like SierraformGT, are placed closer to the outer edge of the impeller where less force is required for even distribution. This ensures each granule type is accurately accounted for, resulting in an optimal spread pattern and uniform turf health.

How to use
Pre-use inspection: Before using the spreader, conduct a thorough inspection to ensure it is clean and free of debris from any previous use.
Material check: Ensure the material to be used is in good condition, free-flowing, and compatible for use in a precision rotary spreader.
Setting the aperture: Ensure the on/off lever is in the closed position. Select the correct setting on the SmartSpread™ by choosing the letter corresponding to the fertiliser being applied. Select the desired application rate on the 1 to 25 scale located on the handle by locking the setting screw at the corresponding number.
Filling the hopper: Ensure the control lever remains in the off/closed position before filling. Fill the hopper uniformly. Always fill the hopper in a safe place away from areas where any accidental spillage while filling could cause damage.
Spreading material: Push the spreader at a brisk walking speed of approximately 5km/h, always keeping the impeller parallel to the ground. With the upper gauge and the SmartSpread™ lower gauge set in the desired positions, push the handlebar on/off lever forwards to the setting stop, while simultaneously starting forward motion. Always begin moving forward at the same time as pushing the lever forward to the on position. At the end of each run, pull the on/off lever back to the zero position to stop material flow and cease spreading. The spread width of the material varies with different fertiliser types. Always check the spread width of the product to ensure correct spread distances.
Cleaning and after-use instructions: Always empty any leftover product from the spreader when the application is complete, disposing of any excess material correctly. The best way to empty unused material from the hopper is by inverting the spreader. Further action may be required to clear any remaining material if necessary. Wash the hopper thoroughly with clean water particularly around the agitator and the underside of the hopper. Drying of excess water is recommended. Do not reuse the spreader until it is dry.
